About the Trust

The Tiptree Cottage Trust was established in 1983 to ensure the long-term preservation of this unique historic site.

The trust runs as a not-for-profit and was officially registered with the Charities Commission as a Charitable Entity in 2010, (Reg No. CC44634).

Today, it operates as a registered charity, governed by volunteer trustees from both the Savill and Gregg families.

The Trust is dedicated to maintaining Tiptree Cottage as a living museum and a place for the community to connect with history. Through fundraising, grants, and community support, it continues to lead the ongoing restoration and care of the cottage. The vision is to see Tiptree Cottage fully restored and accessible to all, preserving its legacy for generations to come.
